randalator You know that thing where you come across an album that just ticks all of the boxes? This is one of those albums for me. It's so chock-full of ideas that it should be all over the place yet somehow comes out as one cohesive whole. It's heavy, it's poppy, it's complex, it has a great concept and every. single. melody. is so catchy you'll be humming/singing along from start to finish. Genuinely my Album of the Year 2022. Favorite track: The Fruitful Dead.

PKMetal When I hear a prog rock concept album that's metal enough for my taste, I'm always willing to give it a shot. I didn't expect to like this album as much as I do. In fact, now I'm a little ticked at Joe Bailey for forcing me to enjoy a song that has a chorus of "I think I love you." To my regret, he makes it work perfectly enough that I wouldn't change a thing. I'll be listening to this a lot. Favorite track: Doctor Death.

Origin 06:27
Kicking and screaming, autonomous beating, Welcome, throw your hands in the air. Drooling and crying, smiling yet dying, Welcome, there's a lifetime over there. Innocent thoughts, innocent eyes, Innocent hands, But it only takes one wrong turn. Living and learning, dispassion and yearning, White coats in a box under your bed. Baiting, berating, growing, upgrading, White bones in a vault inside your head. Innocent thoughts, innocent eyes, Innocent hands, But it only takes one wrong turn, But it only takes one wrong turn. And they tried to get inside your mind. And they tried to turn you inside out. You paved a path with the eyes of the blind. And built a world with the throats of idle clowns. Innocent thoughts, innocent eyes, Innocent hands, But it only takes one wrong turn, But it only takes one wrong turn.

Thank you for the fascination, I've been tightening bolts inside my brain. Thank you for the condemnation, But you couldn't flush my sickness away. You laid eggs in my head and you fathered and fed, And they hatched when I fell to the floor. You derided and scorned, you divided, deformed, Malformation matured into war. Your emptiness fills these pockets of mine. Your readiness is an unwilling sign. Compendious and lost in time. Red tape 'round my new design. Sorry, it's my education, It is putrid and distasteful on the eyes. Sorry for my delectation, I can't refuse these boundless visceral delights. I deposit my hands into red wonderlands, and dethrone the inoperative gear. For myself or a sell, I can stomach the smell, To the point where it's not even here. Your emptiness fills these pockets of mine. Your readiness is an unwilling sign. Compendious and lost in time. Red tape 'round my new design. And I see you through demon's eyes. I need this in my life. And I see through my own disguise, And it's dark in the daylight. Thank you for the fascination, I've been tightening bolts inside my brain. Your emptiness fills these pockets of mine. Your readiness is an unwilling sign. Compendious and lost in time. Red tape 'round my new design.

Doctor Death 09:42
I am the healer, I am the cure. Ever the dreamer, clean and impure. And when I need you, I'm there for you. And when you need me, I'm here for me. I'm the creator, the mind for the blind. The manipulator, the mastermind. This is your final home, The end of a broken road. Discover my great facade, The bliss in my own backyard. A castle adorned with praise, A labyrinth within the maze. A house made from flesh and bone, The clouds boast a funeral home. The blueprints are in my head. A travel lodge for the dead. My dispensable personnel, Cementing my place in Hell. The audience in my head, In search of a roof and a bed. My disposable clientele, Securing my place in Hell. And when I need you, I'm there for you. And when you need me, I'm here for me. I am the healer, I am the cure. Ever the dreamer, clean and impure. This is your final home, The end of a broken road. Discover my great facade, The bliss in my own backyard. A castle adorned with praise, A labyrinth within the maze. A house made from flesh and bone, The clouds boast a funeral home.

I can weave deceit into a mask of symmetry, You’ll love me more than you should. I can make you think that I think God made you for me, I’ll love me more than you could. I can see it in your eyes; I can feel it in my bones, We were meant to be until we’re not meant to be… I think I love you, I think I love loving you, I want to hold you until the mourning comes. I think I love you, I know you love me too. And then I’ll hate you, and we’ll turn to crumbs. I can offer healing with a smile made just for you, I’ll be the rain in your head. I will have you kneeling for a taste of something new, I am the stain in your bed. You can feel it in your thighs; I can taste it on your skin, We are one when I’m not two. I think I love you, I think I love loving you, I want to hold you until the mourning comes. I think I love you, I know you love me too. And then I’ll hate you, and we’ll turn to crumbs. I have many flames for many names, You’re perfect don’t you know? Let’s merge our names for fiscal gains, And watch the whole damn show. I think I love you, I think I love loving you I want to hold you until the mourning comes I think I love you, I know you love me too And then I'll hate you, and we'll turn to crumbs.

Burn this place to the ground. This ain’t my kind of town. Gone are my guests, filed away, Lost in the throes of time. Brush all my debts and flames of the day, Away with the tears of my crimes. For my masterpiece disastrously became a mountain of dust. And I’m hastily, distastefully converting the mud into rust. It’s time to wish the city goodbye, And steer this ship to the land. I’ll find new apples for my eye and Paper for my hands. Fill the cracks and mount the tracks, And leave this tycoon behind. Start again with a classic brain, And a renovated mind. Shake my hand and take my hat, Before I take it back. A bequest at my request, Will fund our plan of attack. Your anatomy is rapidly bearing fruit as sweet as my tooth. And we’re gratefully, disgracefully filling pockets with personal truth. Fill the cracks with melted wax, We’re brewing a new storm. This classic mind, now redefined, Attacking like a swarm. We’ll be kings above all kings, Let’s toast our craft with open wings. Mop these suds inside your throat, This pungent broth will help you float. Goodbye young tool, my deputy. My creature of necessity. I must admit to scraps of pain, Your passing will not be in vain. I’m sorry young children, I thought I could help you But you’re only slowing me down. I’m sorry for all of your heartache but it would be Better if you’re not around. Fill the cracks with beaten tracks, I’m disappearing today. This classic mind, now redefined, Reduced to frenzied decay. Running, I’m running, I’m running again. Running, I’m running, I’m running away.

I took the money and ran again. I swept the floors on endless trains. So many veils, so many states. Another new life awaits. I traipse the soil with bones and ash. I cover ground like a vicious rash. I can’t allow a change of pace, For fear the bull may catch my face. And so my waning destiny, Has come to finally disagree. This horse has made an ass of me, Hoofed into a void of misery. And the steel around my wrists distorts my trembling fists. And I can feel the beginning of the end. All the victims I employed and all the cages I destroyed, Are coming back to wave the flag while I descend. I was born with the Devil in me, I was born with the Devil in me. Nothing here for you to see, I was born with the Devil in me. And the end that is in sight is now the end I cannot fight, There is a rope that has been yearning for my throat. And I’m spinning handsome webs for all these foolish wide-eyed plebs, I’m hoarding nest eggs for the day they make me float. I was born with the Devil in me, I was born with the Devil in me. Nothing here for you to see, I was born with the Devil in me.
